On behalf of the staff at Albany Mowers in Albany Village, I would like to sincerely thank you for your business and support over the last year.We have had an exciting & challenging year in 2021. The internet challenge and its threat to ‘bricks & mortar’ retailers and the community infrastructure that they support can only be countered by offering knowledgeable service, and a showroom full of interesting product, and we try our best to do this. The year also brought another series of Covid Lock-downs and restrictions with the resultant financial, stock availability & staffing difficulties.
What it has undoubtedly highlighted is the appallingly bad job that successive governments & schools have done in valuing the real worth, and therefore the importance of training trades people. Covid has cut off our supply of some very good trades people from such places as South Africa, Fiji, Sri Lanka, India, Phillipines and many other countries.
In addition, what has been highlighted is our our vulnerability as a small, isolated Country, when it comes to getting product from overseas. This is putting many small businesses (the countries biggest employer) under severe strain.
Of course balanced against that is that we are lucky to be living in the best country in the world to shelter from Covid and have a government who ‘by and large’ have done a good job.
Our aim has always been to offer you a great shopping experience and our mantra has always been “How could we do it better?’.
This has led to some exciting innovations in order to give you this experience. A few of them are below -
